Lithuanian-born, Newcastle-based Rye commands the stage with haunting intimacy, transporting audiences into a dreamlike world that is both beautiful and unsettling.

Electric guitar, subtle synths, and hypnotic yet tense rhythms pulse beneath her voice as it moves with unflinching honesty through this expansive, deeply personal yet familiar world — a place where vulnerability is celebrated but also exposes you to fear; where every song feels like stepping directly inside the artist’s mind.

Rye’s music is shaped by her upbringing in Vilnius, Lithuania, where she was immersed in alternative pop, underground electronic music, and the tradition of sung poetry. Her love of languages is a apparent in her work, as she sings in English, Lithuanian, and Spanish, often weaving spoken word into her compositions.

Since releasing her debut EP I Feel Everything in 2024, Rye has been making waves in the music scene. The lead single was featured on BBC Radio 6, she signed with Wipe Out Music Publishing, performed a live session for BBC Introducing Newcastle, and recently played The Notion Events showcase as part of the Mercury Awards Fringe. She also appeared live on Lithuania’s national radio station LRT Opus, on their morning show Atmerk Akis, known for spotlighting innovative and emerging artists.
